Currently, I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management & Leadership at Bauer College of Business, the University of Houston. I have a Ph.D. in Strategic Management from the University of Missouri-Columbia and an M.A. in Telecommunications Management from Michigan State University. I have also completed Executive Business Program in Board Governance from Harvard Business School. Before entering academics, I worked as Senior Analyst in the telecommunications sector, managing enterprise Voice IP and fiber-optic networking technologies for key global clients (e.g., P&G, Sony, Pfizer, Microsoft).

The answer is Yes...And No. In fact, empirical research on these and other possible outcomes has generated equivocal findings.
In this article, we offer several recommendations on how to improve the conceptualization and measurements of cognitive diversity among strategic leaders, which will allow us to better understand and predict senior leaders' impacts on firms' strategic processes, human relations outcomes, and financial performance. |
